New: Excursion to Chiloé’s Pacific Coast and Agüi Fortress

Our excursions around Ancud can now be complemented with another exciting add-on: a visit to the Lacuy Peninsula on the half-day Pacific Coast & Agüi Fortress excursion, during which guests will experience the peninsula’s magnificent landscape and immerse themselves in the local rhythm of life. This tour will take you to the Agüi Fortress, one of the last Spanish bastions in South America and from where the erstwhile conquerors were finally expelled in 1826. From here, you have a great view of the bay of Ancud. The second oldest lighthouse in Chile, the Faro Corona, in operation since 1859, will also be visited during this tour. In tourism, it is considered one of the twelve “wonders” in the Los Lagos region, taking second place after the Saltos del Petrohué.
