Our driver was fantastic
Okay, one more message for you, this time about our driver Jose. He was FANTASTIC!!! He drove us from Punta Arenas to Las Torres, then two days later from Las Torres to Lago Grey, then today from Lago Grey back to Punta Arenas. So we spent a lot of time with Jose. He was extremely professional and very courteous. And he went out of his was to educate us about Patagonia: the geography; the biology; the animals. He would stop so that we could take beautiful photographs. Plus he was a park ranger in Torres del Paine for five years, so he knows everything about it. And he’s very passionate about it. He was really as much of a guide as he was a driver. We loved our time with Jose.
Thank you for your work with Wilderness Travel in putting together this “trip of a lifetime” for us. It was perfectly orchestrated and all of the drivers and guides were fantastic!

The absolute best tour guide we have ever encountered
Hello! This is Molly from the United States. I want to reach out to let you know what a wonderful experience we had yesterday with our tour guide Benjamin, as well as our driver Ricardo. Both of them were extremely kind and very professional. Additionally, Benjamin is the absolute best tour guide we have ever encountered. We have traveled a lot to many countries and have always done tours. We have experienced many tour guides, but none of them has been as good as Benjamin. His knowledge of Chile, of Santiago, and of Latin America was incredible. In fact, he is knowledgeable about the entire world! He shared the sites and history with such enthusiasm and passion. We are so glad that we added a tour in Santiago to our Chilean adventure!! Ten out of ten stars to Benjamin and Ricardo!

The perfect accommodation
One of the best and most beautiful accommodations we have ever had – and we travel a lot and have already seen a lot. The location is unique: you can see the Torres from every bungalow. The food was excellent and specially tailored to each individual guest (each with their own personal menu). It was unique that we not only had our own private driver but also a private German-speaking guide. As a highlight, we were rewarded with the sighting of 4 pumas, which had just caught a guanaco – and this only 3-4 meters away from the vehicle!!!

We got to know many different aspects of Chile
Our trip was fantastic! The variety of locations and activities gave us a great sampling of the country and the accommodations were spectacular. Firstly, our thanks to both, our guide and driver during our three days in Santiago. From the moment we were collected at the airport, we connected with them both and had many engaging conversations.
With the standards of service already set high in Santiago, we were then met at Calama Airport by the other team and we had a highly entertaining and engaging three days with them. It was an unforgettable trip
We, a mixed group from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Italy were on a great tour in January/February 2019. It was an unforgettable trip with nine flights and also nine tour guides. On 23 and 24 January we made a stop in Santiago de Chile. The tour guide there (best tour guide in South America with excellent knowledge of German, with a sense of humour and charm) gave us simply unforgettable company over the two days and made Chile an experience. In February 2018 we made a trip through Argentina and Chile. Santiago was our last destination. Our guide in that wonderful city showed us the most important places of the town. We were impressed with her German and the way she took us around and explained everything. Her guidance was excellent, competent and she performed as a vivid companion. It was perfect!
I was very pleased with the guides and the organisation. I would like to highlight the tour guide in Torres del Paine. He and the driver were incredibly helpful and available to us at all times. He also likes to take photos himself and therefore knows what is important to us. It all worked out perfectly, just as I had imagined! The highlight was certainly the puma, which we saw at a distance of 20 metres…
In the end we also saw many whales and so there is nothing to complain about…
