Two “Chileans” among the 24 National Geographic “Unique Lodges of the World”

The very exclusive National Geographic list of “Unique Lodges of the World” names a selection of only 24 hotels worldwide, which stand out for sustainability, excellent service, and an especially unique travel experience for their guests. Chile made the list twice, representing the whole “Cono Sur,” or southern South America: Tierra Atacama and Tierra Patagonia.

The jury of experts visited all the candidates in order to get an on-site understanding of the architecture, quality and service, the social standards, and environmental protection in daily operations. The selected hotels will be part of future Nat-Geo expeditions, photography classes, journals and books. The selection aims to show that spectacular experiences with sustainable high-end tourism are possible, without leaving a big footprint.

We will be happy to book one or all Tierra Hotels for your clients.
