Arica – Chilean Altiplano, 4 Days / 3 Nights Program

This 4-day program from Arica showcases the spectacular landscapes, wildlife and cultural heritage of Chile’s northern Altiplano. The journey leads through the Lluta Valley to Putre, located at 3,500 metres above sea level. Along the way, travellers discover traditional Aymara villages, archaeological sites and Socoroma, a village of pre-Columbian origin.

The program also includes some of the region’s most impressive natural highlights: Salar de Surire, Las Vicuñas National Reserve, Lauca National Park and Lake Chungará. Vicuñas, alpacas, llamas, flamingos and numerous Andean bird species can be spotted along the route. The vast highland scenery is framed by imposing volcanoes, including Parinacota, Pomerape and the active Guallatire Volcano.
