We would like to remind you that in Northern Chile, as every year, the phenomenon of the Altiplano winter occurs during the summer months (between December and March). This can cause sudden heavy rainfall in certain places. Sometimes these rains are also accompanied by wind, hail and in the highest areas by snow.
During this period, the rain and a possible rise in rivers can cause the partial or total closure of routes, parks and places of tourist interest, which forces, in some cases, the rescheduling or cancellation of the tours.
