8 SUSTAINABLE HOTELS TO DISCOVER IN CHILE

Many tourists who come to Chile prefer outdoor activities in nature. For this reason, a large part of the tourism offer has specialized in providing services of the highest quality while promoting respect for the environment and the surrounding towns.

We want to present eight hotels in different destinations in Chile that operate in a sustainable manner.

If you want the most sustainable accommodation in Chile’s capital, Bidasoa is a good choice. The modern hotel in the upscale Vitacura district is considered one of the most sustainable hotels in Latin America. The building was constructed to be as energy-efficient as possible: It uses aerothermal energy and does not use fossil fuels to heat or cool the rooms. It has solar panels, a water treatment plant and a waste incinerator that produces gas from organic waste. The cars they use for their guests are hybrid cars.

Located on the shores of the Rilán Peninsula, 18km from the town of Castro in Chiloé. The hotel’s sustainable architecture reflects the traditional local houses built on stilts in the water.
