We want to remind you that Australian citizens will need to obtain a valid e-visa before traveling to Chile.
Your visa must be approved before coming to Chile. If you arrive without a valid visa, you won’t be able to pass the migration barrier and will be sent back to your last port of departure. You won’t be able to obtain a visa at the airport or any border in the country.
Passengers arriving in Chile by plane in transit to travel to another country are exempt from the visa requirement as long as they do not pass through immigration control and they remain in the transit area of the airport. Transit must not exceed 8 hours.
