The baggage will be checked. The controls do not only take place in the airport, but also in the regional border stations as well as in the harbours if a ship comes from abroad.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Generally, the following products can be imported ONLY WITH DECLARATION:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>a) crops<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; coffee, cocoa, nuts, dry fruits, etc.<br \/>\n&#8211; juices and alcohol<br \/>\n&#8211; oils, flour, starch flour, semolina and sugar<br \/>\n&#8211; marmalade, canned fruit and vegetables<br \/>\n&#8211; cereals, spices, tea<br \/>\n&#8211; seeds, plant fibres, bark, flowers and other dried vegetable products<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fresh fruits and vegetables CAN NOT BE IMPORTED AT ALL, they must be thrown away BEFORE getting to the customs duty or DECLARED and then handed over.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>b) animal products<\/strong><br \/>\n&#8211; canned meat<br \/>\n&#8211; food for personal purpose (sandwiches, prepared meals) which contains cooked or<br \/>\nroasted meat<br \/>\n&#8211; cold cuts and ham<br \/>\n&#8211; dairy products (milk, cream, yoghurt, etc.)<br \/>\n&#8211; cheese<br \/>\n&#8211; boiled eggs<br \/>\n&#8211; leather goods, skins and wool (this refers to raw materials and handicrafts, but not to<br \/>\nprocessed materials like shoes, belts, handbags, woollens, etc.)<br \/>\nIn the case of industrially manufactured products, care is taken during the inspection to ensure that they are in their original packaging and unopened and that the ingredients are labelled.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Please inform your clients about these controls before their departure to avoid heavy fines and long waiting times for the passengers which also could affect the travel itinerary.
