The well-known Chilean poets and Nobel Prize winners for literature, <strong>Pablo Neruda and Gabriela Mistral<\/strong>, are, of course, also part of the collection. Additional figures will be added in the future. &#8220;In this cultural space, visitors can get to know personalities who have played a key role in Chile&#8217;s history and left a heritage,&#8221; said Joaqu\u00edn Lav\u00edn, current mayor of Las Condes, the Santiago neighbourhood in which the museum is located.<\/p>\n<p>The 600 square metre museum building, formerly the storeroom of the church of San Vicente Ferrer during colonial times, is located at the entrance to the popular tourist attraction <strong>&#8220;Centro Artesanal Pueblito Los Dominicos&#8221;<\/strong>, a centre for arts and handicrafts. The exhibition rooms are air-conditioned and maintain a temperature of no more than 22\u00b0 C in order to keep the wax figures in perfect condition, which were modeled from clay and then finished with wax.<\/p>\n<p>Want a photo next to a famous Chilean personality? No problem. Next to each of the figures, there is a place for the perfect photo op.
