Our recent inspections took us to <strong>new and well-known hotels<\/strong> in the <strong>financial district of Las Condes<\/strong>, nicknamed &#8220;Sanhattan&#8221; for its futuristic high-rise architecture, renowned gourmet restaurants, theaters, cinema, and fine shops. The Parque Bicentenario, on which we reported in our last newsletter, is within walking distance. It is no surprise that some of the <strong>most luxurious hotels of the city<\/strong> are found here.<\/p>\n<p>Las Condes boasts <strong>the only Ritz-Carlton in South America<\/strong>. For years, its guests have enjoyed <strong>impeccable service and top quality accommodations<\/strong>, a pleasant retreat from the hustle and bustle of Santiago. The fully glazed pool on the top floor offers a special place to wind down, and the hotel rooms have recently been redecorated with a simple, yet regal, aesthetic. In the near future, all other areas of the hotel will undergo redesigns. The hotel business should not be affected during this time.<\/p>\n<p><strong>One of the hippest luxury hotels<\/strong> in Santiago, <strong>Mandarin Oriental<\/strong> Santiago is redesigning all its guest rooms and public areas. Currently run under the name Hotel Santiago, it offers a new design, modernized ambience, and pleasant outdoor facilities with a Japanese restaurant and excellent service. When the extensive renovation works are completed in January 2019, the hotel will officially open as the first Mandarin Oriental in the Western Hemisphere.<\/p>\n<p>Our colleagues also looked at the <strong>newly opened Hotel Hyatt Centric<\/strong>. With a stylish, <strong>contemporary design<\/strong> and a touch of local craftsmanship, the hotel offers spacious rooms, pleasant public lounges and good service. The roof terrace is being extended to include a bar.
