These celebrations can be seen all over Chile, and it\u2019s impossible to miss seeing the national dance \u201cCueca\u201d or to avoid trying their traditional foods like empanadas, grilled meats, wine, and cocktails.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some hints about where to spend the national holidays in Santiago:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parque Intercomunal Alberto Hurtado<\/strong><br \/>\n\u201dChilean week\u201d Sept 11-20, all day. Handicraft, rodeo and other horse-shows, folkloric dance, traditional games, local gastronomy, and more.<br \/>\nEntrance fee: adults CLP 5.000 and children CLP 2.000.<br \/>\nMetro Bilbao+Taxi<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parque O\u2019Higgins<\/strong><br \/>\nSept 17-20, all day. This is the official party: on Sept 19th the military parade will take place here. Live music, local gastronomy, dance areas, and a circus.<br \/>\nEntrance fee: adults CLP 3000, no charge for children.<br \/>\nMetro Parque O\u2019Higgins<\/p>\n<p><strong>Estadio Nacional<\/strong><br \/>\nSept 16-20, all day with folkloric music, entertainment program for children, local gastronomy, \u201cCueca\u201d dance contests, traditional games, and more.<br \/>\nEntrance fee: adults CLP 2.000 and children CLP 1.000. Metro Grecia, \u00d1uble or Irrarazavla + Taxi or better: Taxi from the hotel<\/p>\n<p><strong>Parque In\u00e9s de Suarez\u00a0 <\/strong>17.-20. September all day, with typical games, music and folklor for the whole family in the nice ambience of Providencia.<br \/>\nEntrance fee: adults CLP 4.000 and children CLP 2.000 .
