\nIt is located on the coast of Chile in the north of the Coquimbo region and extends over several islands, of which Isla Choros, Isla Damas and Isla Cha\u00f1aral are the best known. This region is known for its rich marine diversity and its significant breeding colonies of Humboldt penguins.<\/p>\n

\nLos Ping\u00fcinos Natural Monument<\/strong>
\n35 kilometres north-east of Punta Arenas are the islands of Magdalena and Marta, which make up this natural monument. Known for its large colony of Magellanic penguins that breed and live here, this place is a popular tourist destination for those who want to experience the fascinating penguins in their natural habitat.
