The lighthouse is the town&#8217;s iconic monument. This short <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/nB7rS8jK18s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>video<\/strong><\/a> shows images of La Serena, the Elqui Valley and the surrounding area.<\/p>\n<p>This region is also known for one of the most spectacular &#8220;natural events&#8221; in the country: the <strong>flowering desert<\/strong>.
