It is also home to the <strong>Parque Metropolitana, the city&#8217;s largest &#8220;green lung&#8221;<\/strong> and, at more than 700 hectares, the fourth largest city park in the world and the largest in Latin America.<\/p>\n<p>You can walk uphill or take a bike, car or bus up the hill. However, for a <strong>special view of the Santiago skyline<\/strong>, take the cable car, built in 1979 and reopened in 2016 after a complete renovation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>47 modern cabins<\/strong> in red, blue and green and with space for up to 6 people offer visitors a unique experience high above the city metropolis. The cable car travels almost 4 km (both ways). The round trip takes about 15 minutes.
