It is a group of limestone formations located on the western shore of Lake General Carrera near Puerto R\u00edo Tranquilo and 223 km south of the regional capital Coyhaique.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>natural wonder<\/strong> is one of the main attractions of the Ays\u00e9n region of Patagonia and attracts enthusiasts of photography. The marbled limestone columns, together with the azure waters of Chile&#8217;s largest lake, form a fascinating play of colours.<\/p>\n<p>To visit the Capillas de M\u00e1rmol, a boat trip can be taken from <strong>Puerto R\u00edo Tranquilo<\/strong>. After about 1.5 hours of sailing across the lake, visitors experience one of the most impressive moments when the boat enters the Capillas de M\u00e1rmol cave and the limestone columns are reflected in the water.<\/p>\n<p>There is also the option of taking a boat from the bay <strong>Puerto M\u00e1rmol<\/strong>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marmolguias.com\/paginas\/bienvenido.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bahia Mansa<\/a>. With only a 15-20 minute boat ride, this is currently the shortest and most pleasant way to reach this natural wonder.
