The tour begins with a transfer from the hotel to the Comunidad Ecol\u00f3gica de Pe\u00f1alolen (Ecological Community of Pe\u00f1alolen), where the horses are ready and waiting. Setting off at the foot of the mighty Cerro San Ram\u00f3n, the tour continues ever upwards through the Quebrada (gorge) de Pe\u00f1alolen, passing an indigenous forest landscape until reaching the clear melt water of a river coming down from the Andes.
