Der bereits mehrfach preisgekr\u00f6nte Park wurde somit in seiner Vorbildrolle f\u00fcr nachhaltigen Tourismus in Chile und weltweit best\u00e4tigt. 150 Reiseziele bewarben sich in f\u00fcnf Kategorien um den Preis, die Entscheidung wurde von einer 18-k\u00f6pfigen Expertenjury getroffen, die die Finalisten zuvor besucht hatten.<\/p>\n<p>Der Naturpark Huilo Huilo umfasst ca. 100.000 Hektar und ist mit seinem praktisch unber\u00fchrten valdivianischen Urwald Heimat bedrohter Tierarten wie dem Puma. Auf einer Wanderung durch den tiefen Wald Pumaspuren im Schnee oder in der weichen Erde zu entdecken, ist hier keine Seltenheit und die B\u00e4ume h\u00e4ngen voller pr\u00e4chtiger Copihues, Chiles Nationalblume. Ein Projekt zum Schutz der vom Aussterben bedrohten Huemule tr\u00e4gt dazu bei, diese kleine, endemische Hirschart zu erhalten und wieder zu vermehren.
