Die ca. 60 km lange Fahrt zum Ausflugsziuel Valle Nevado (\u201everschneites Tal\u201c) auf 3000m H\u00f6he folgt dem Rio Mapocho stromaufw\u00e4rts auf einer Sertpentinenstra\u00dfe mit sch\u00f6nen Ausblicken. Wenn im sp\u00e4ten Fr\u00fchling der Schnee in anderen T\u00e4lern bereits geschmolzen ist, ist das Valle Nevado im Herzen der Andenkette noch immer wei\u00df \u2013 daher der Name. Hier liegt das derzeit modernste Skizentrum S\u00fcdamerikas (Saison Mitte Juni bis Mitte September). Vom Valle Nevado aus hat man eine wunderbare Aussicht auf den vergletscherten Gipfel des Cerro Plomo (5430m) und viele weitere gewaltige Berge, die an die 6000m reichen.
