Reciprocity Fee no longer required for U.S. citizens

Travelling to Chile is now more affordable and convenient for U.S. citizens! Effective as of last March, Chile has eliminated the $160 reciprocity fee that was formerly required of U.S. citizens entering via Santiago International Airport. U.S. citizens with a valid passport can now enter Chile for up to 90 days on a free tourist visa. This change mirrors one made recently by the U.S. government for citizens of Chile, and is intended to improve travel and business relations between the two countries.
