Icy Giant: The Perito Moreno Glacier

This tour sets off early in the morning, heading towards Calafate/Argentina. From there, to the amazingly beautiful Perito Moreno Glacier. The glacier is part of the Argentinean southern ice field: an immense ice mass that has buried a huge area beneath it. Visitors have the opportunity to view this natural wonder from various view points walking along safe and well sign-posted footpaths. With a bit of luck, you can even experience columns of ice breaking away from the glacier and falling into the lake «Lago Argentino» with a thundering crash.
The return to Chile takes place in the afternoon, and you arrive back at Puerto Natales in the late evening.
