After the eruptions on April 22nd, 23rd and 30th, 2015 the situation has calmed down, whereas it is still instable.
All seismic activity is being observed and monitored on a regular basis in order to perceive any increased activity which could eventually lead to a new eruption, as happened on last Monday. However the situation eased off without any incident. There is a lot of loose material on the slopes of the volcano which could provoke mudslides in case of heavy rain. For this reason an area of 20km around the crater remains restricted zone and the “red alert” announced on April, 22nd is effective until further notice.
