LATAM – New flights between South America, Falkland Islands and Australia

New air connection São Paulo – Córdoba – Falkland Islands
As of November, LATAM Airlines will be flying between São Paulo, Córdoba and the Falkland Islands, situated in the South Atlantic Ocean on the Patagonian Shelf. The British administration of the Falkland Islands announced that it has signed an agreement with LATAM Brazil that will allow for the addition of a new air connection with the American continent. The first flight connecting the Mount Pleasant Airport (MPN) on East Falkland with São Paulo (Brazil) will take place on November 6th 2019 and will operate every Wednesday. Once a month the flight will stop in Córdoba; as such, the airport “Ing. Taravella” will become the second city in Argentina (in addition to Rio Gallegos) to be served once a month.

Non-stop flights between Sydney and Santiago
Starting in October 2019, LATAM airlines will be offering direct flights per week between Santiago and Sydney. According to LATAM, the flight duration will be just under 15 hours. This new route will further improve the connection between the Chilean capital and Australia’s largest city.
