travelArt on the road for you in Patagonia
In the month of May, our Commercial Manager travelled to Patagonia to best help prepare for the next tourist season. Inspections and meetings with our long-standing partner hotels and transport companies were the focus of the trip.

Our hotel recommendations
In Torres del Paine National Park, the newly designed three level spa in Hotel Rio Serrano invites you to relax after a long day in the park. Whether while making use of the 20 m long heated swimming pool or the sauna or enjoying a soothing massages, visitors are invited to partake in pure relaxation.
If you are looking for a small boutique hotel for individual travellers in Puerto Natales, we recommend the centrally located Casa de la Patagonia. The house, with six comfortably furnished rooms, is characterized by a simple, warm atmosphere and offers its guests a varied breakfast buffet to start off their day.

Our product recommendations
Besides the impressive excursions within Torres del Paine National Park itself, we highly recommend the boat and Zodiac excursions to the Balmaceda and Serrano Glaciers, departing either from Puerto Natales or the National Park.
Just outside Punta Arenas, it is well worth a visit to the faithful replica of the ship Nao Victoria, vessel with which Hernando de Magallanes sailed around the world in the 16th century. On board visitors can take hold of the steering wheel and vividly imagine what it must have been like to venture across the oceans in this “nut shell”.
The reconstructed fortress Fuerte Bulnes, about 60 km south of Punta Arenas and part of the Estrecho de Magallanes Park, also offers a lot of space for historical imagination. Boosting a modern visitor centre with a multimedia museum, cafeteria and panoramic terrace, the excursion is well worth seeing.
