Starting July 4th, 2016, LAN will offer a direct flight from Santiago, Chile to La Paz, Bolivia. The current travel time of five hours (including a stopover in Iquique) will be thereby reduced to three hours. Initially, four flights per week will be offered on that route. Eventually, flights to La Paz via Iquique will be limited to once per week.
The new flight connection opens up interesting possibilities to combine vacations to Bolivia and Chile. In addition to the classic multi-day trip combining San Pedro de Atacama (Chile) and the Salar de Uyuni (Bolivia) we can now offer completely new combinations for your Chile trip, including the beautiful Madidi National Park near La Paz. After enjoying icy glaciers, wide pampas, active volcanoes, clear starry skies, deserts and exclusive wineries in Chile, guests will love the Madidi National Park’s dense green jungle – a nice contrast and great supplement.
