Wine Magazine Decanter Recommends Chilean Hotels

The renowned wine magazine Decanter has recently published a list with seven of the top recommendable (wine-) hotels in South America, including three of our partners:

Palacio Astoreca is a magnificent townhouse built by a wealthy merchant for his English wife in 1923. It is located in the heart of this UNESCO heritage city on Cerro Alegre hill. Each of the guest rooms has been distinctively decorated using local artisanal craftwork, with each featuring customized modern beds and a stunning view of the wide bay or colourful hills. The hotel also beautifully incorporates restored early 20th-Century furniture, original parquet floors, and old hand-painted tiles. The Alegre Restaurant offers outstanding cuisine with sea views, and is open to both hotel guests and the public. Highlight here according to Decanter: Guests can go down to the wine cellar and choose their wine for dinner themselves.

The four elegant houses of Lapostolle Residence await guests on the Casa Lapostolle Vineyard in the Colchagua Valley score with luxury: Located on forested slopes, they offer a magnificent view over the vineyard and the surrounding highlands from their terraces. Those seeking peace and relaxation, as well as great style in an outstanding natural environment, are in the right place here. A riding stable is available for energetic visitors, while those in search of rest can treat themselves to a massage. The select number of visitors is catered for in a luxurious guest house with dining room and a large living room.

The enjoyable family run Hotel Casablanca Wine &Spa is located in midst of the wonderful vineyard-landscape of Casablanca Valley and close to the wineries Emiliana and Casas del Bosque. The hotel building in a typical colonial country-style with a lot of adobe and wood is very cosy, and the spacious rooms are tastefully decorated. A big and beautiful garden with swimming pool invites for sunbathing, while in the wine-spa guests may enjoy wine-based therapies and beauty-treatments. The hotel’s restaurant offers local cuisine on a high level as well as international dishes. Plus: Casablanca Valley has been voted in to the „Great Wine Capitals Global Network“, joining regions such as Rioja and Bordeaux.

If you would like to book one of those hotels for your guests or would like to know more about our wine programs, your travelArt sales partner will be happy to help you.
