travelArt´s Partnership with “Aldea Mis Amigos”

TravelArt has built a partnership with a children’s home near Santiago in 2016. The “Aldea Mis Amigos” children’s home near Santiago de Chile is a reference project for “best practice” in children’s social work in Chile. Here, children from particularly difficult and dangerous circumstances and abandoned children are offered a home for as long as necessary, where they experience acceptance, care and a feeling of security. Integration into society in general and in the community of Aldea in particular, the imparting of values and above all a good education and training are fundamental components of the offer and the mission of Aldea. The very committed director and a team of loving nurses are tirelessly working on the difficult past of the children and giving them the start to a successful future. there are many good examples of former residents who are now successful professionals, who have founded their own families and who have been in contact with Aldea for many years, with both employees and children. Currently, 90 children and young people between 3 and 18 years live in simple houses by age group.

Apart from Santa Claus, the children of Aldea had a visit from a travelArtist this year, which gave them our best wishes for the New Year and a donation on behalf of the whole travelArt team. The children are thus allowed a few days in a holiday camp as well as excursions to the beach and the zoo in the just started summer holidays.

The “Aldea Mis Amigos” is located about 45 minutes from Santiago. Children and the Director are looking forward to receiving interested travel groups who would like to focus on the everyday life and the social aspects of their host country. If you would like to include a visit to the travel program for your guests, we will gladly organize it.
Also if you prefer not to include this into your travel programs, you are welcome to support the Aldea Mis Amigos. If you would like to participate in any way, please contact your travelArtist.
